Did I say “a rushed holiday ?”

Mare_drive-1

1/80th second, from vehicle, just for fun

Actually so glad i took this drive through Lifou, Loyalty Islands, which is known for its avacado plantations. It really is a beautifully kept island. Driving through the island we were fortunate enough to see their chiefs Bure and so many gorgeous homes. The locals are very religious and take so much pride in adorning the cemeteries with beautiful flowers. More to come.

Miss Australia 1920

emma 1920-1

I was over the moon to have this experience to shoot Emma, who is an actress. This girl has amazing legs, couldn’t have had a more perfect model. Emma wears a 1920  tangerine original slip dress. Flowers are by Ultimo Tafe teachers and cert 4 students. As i said in my previous post: “JJ Spring”, i worked with these Australian native flowers quite a bit this year, as with that whole 1920’s theme. I worked with fashion as well on most of these shoots, but stepping back in history sometimes becomes timeless, and its nice preserve some of these original clothes with photography. Hobo Chic: Love

The effervescent, sophisticated, sexy and Stunning Shannen does a bit of hobo- chic, the skirt is actually 100 years old, but the top is new. This year I played with quite a bit of vintage, I love the new stuff but this older stuff has plenty of character, and fitted with a series I worked on, and is a little bit more achievable with the amount of work i processed this year. xx  HAMU Linda Thi

Peaches and Cream

I don’t normally blog the picks I take at tech, but Ive decided to start. This is a gorgeous girl in my class, Cassie, she joined the class a few weeks after everyone else. Anyway we were doing a colour management class, but I found this lace the day before and incorporated this shoot into the class. Cassie was wearing a beautiful Kimono which we put inside out and back to front. I love the feel of the lace across her gorgeous face. I couldn’t work out which one I liked best, the half closed eye shot, with a sinister twist, or the other?

I gave most of the originals away last year, but I’m sure I have the negatives. Hope you enjoy thes images from the past. Do you find that even at 10 years old images appear to have a vintage feeling. Maybe it was the process’?
